Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda). Add cold cubed butter, and using either a dough blender or clean hands, incorporate cold butter into flour mixture until a sand like consistency forms. This will take 2-3 minutes.
In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and vanilla.
Fold wet ingredient mixture into flour/butter mixture and fold until no large lumps remain.
Gently fold in blueberries.
Using a 2 tbsp cookie scoop, scoop rough heaps onto parchment lined baking sheet. Set aside and prepare egg wash, mixing ingredients in a small bowl until well combined.
Using a pasty brush, brush egg wash onto biscuits. Bake biscuits for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
While biscuits are baking, prepare glaze. Mix glaze ingredients in a small bowl until no lumps remain.
Once biscuits have fully cooled, use a fork to drizzle glaze. Serve and enjoy!
