Easy Roasted Garlic
Roasting garlic is so easy, anybody ca do it! All you need is a bulb of garlic, olive oil, and salt & pepper. Wrap it in foil, and pop it in the oven. The result? Golden brown garlic, that spreads super easy with a ton of uses. Spread it on a cheese board, put it over pasta, on a cracker, or a piece of bread.

How to Roast Garlic in the Oven
Roasting garlic is one of the easiest things you can do in a kitchen.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit.
- Simply cut the top 1/4 inch off of the garlic and wrap it in a piece of foil, so the foil cradles the garlic.
- Next, add about 1 tsp of olive oil on top of the garlic, so that it seeps into the garlic bulb.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the garlic.
- Place the foil wrapped garlic bulb on a sheet pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the garlic is golden brown.

Roasting Garlic
After about 30 minutes, the head of garlic will be roasted and you can remove it from the oven. Give it about 10 minutes before you handle it, it will be hot!
For this post I only roasted 1 head of garlic, but you can do as many as you can fit on a sheet pan. It’s an easy recipe to multiply!

How to Eat & Use Roasted Garlic
When you’re ready to use roasted garlic, you can either squeeze the garlic head, or you can plop out each clove with a fork. I like to use the fork method, it’s pretty clean and easy.
As far as using roasted garlic, the possibilities are pretty wide. I spread it on a sourdough crostini with some fresh parsley and it was honestly so simple and delicious. You could use it to make salad dressing, put it on a cheese board, add it to charcuterie sushi as a spread, or even mix it into homemade Boursin cheese! I’ll give some more detailed uses below.
